Chris has worked in Child and Youth Development programs for over 20 years, and has worked at every level – assistant teacher, teacher, lead teacher, center director, program director, and area manager. Chris left the YMCA in 2010 to work in the public education sector – serving as the District Director of Child Development for the Brea Olinda Unified School District, and then recently served as the county-wide Director of Early Learning and Expanded Learning for the Orange County Department of Education, providing support to 27 school districts and over 700 child and youth development programs in the county.
Chris holds a terminal degree (Ed.S) in Early Childhood Education, a Master’s Degree (M.Ed) in Educational Leadership and Administration, and a certificate in School Business Management. He holds a Child Development Program Director Permit and an Administrative Credential from the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing. Chris is also an adjunct faculty member in child development for Fullerton College.
Chris lives with his 4 children – Serenity (8), Virginia (7), Daniel (6) and Grace (5) in Brea.
